Independence Day Recipes

Independence day is just around the corner. Have you thought about what you’re going to make for the family? If not, don’t worry! We put together a list of some awesome recipes that are sure to impress your family and neighbors alike.

Firecracker Popcorn

Who doesn’t love snacking on a delicious sweet and salty combination of popcorn and sugar? This super easy firecracker popcorn recipe calls for white candy melts and Pop Rocks candy that cause little explosions in your mouth when you eat it.

Guac Stuffed Tomatoes

This recipe is super easy and, because avocados are on sale right now, really affordable. Whip up your favorite guacamole recipe and stuff into little cherry tomatoes that have been cut in half.

Patriotic Waffle Cones

Planning on ice cream for dessert? Grab your favorite pack of waffle cones and dip the edge in white chocolate or chocolate, then roll in red, white and blue sprinkles. This is a fun, easy way to celebrate the holiday and even get the kids involved.

Layered Drinks

You can create festive layered drinks for both adults and kids. Pour fruit punch, blue Gatorade then Sprite in a glass. Add in some refreshing fruit or, for an adult version, your favorite clear liquor (colored liquors will change the color and layering of the drink).

Mac and Cheese Hot Dogs

This recipe is just as amazing as it sounds. Cook up some hot dogs, pop on a bun and slather in mac and cheese. If you’re looking to take it to another level try adding some bacon on top and additional shredded cheese. Hello, delicious!
