The new location will be at approximately 341 E. Sunland Dr. in St George, Utah next to Furniture Row and adjacent to the I-15 corridor. This brand new facility will provide customers with a wide selection of RV’s, RV service, RV repairs and will boast a 22,000 square foot two store facility with over 9500 square feet of hard to find RV parts and niche market RV camping supplies. Nielson RV will expand their inventory to over 400 units adding recently a new Toy hauler Motorhome line called the Outlaw by Thor Industries. Other products recently added for the ramping up of the St. George Location is the popular Raptor Toy haulers. The new RV dealership will house small starter units such as the Rockwood Tent and Aliner campers to the StarCraft, Forest River, and Thor product lines. Scott Nielson plans to add other lines in the motorized market such as a high-end diesel pusher and other gas motorized units.
“This has been a much needed expansion,” said Katie Leavitt, General Manager of Nielson RV. “We have loved our location in Hurricane and will continue to sell trailers there, but this new location allows us to really serve the community.”
The new facility will feature 6 large 100’ wide pull thru bays, to help with a seamless RV service department. It will feature a large RV parts & service area. It will also feature a brand new rental department that allows people to test out an RV before they buy, or simply get into a trailer or motorhome without having to purchase one.
“We have been test piloting our new rental program and it’s been amazing!” said Doug Griffiths, Rental Manager. “We have been booked solid all summer and can’t wait to add 20 more units to the fleet.”
Nielson RV currently offers over 200 new and used trailers, motorhomes, fifth wheels and toy haulers at their Hurricane Location. They also offer a large selection of retro style trailers, tear drops, wheel chair accessible, expandable and several other styles and classes of RV types. The Hurricane and St. George locations combined will provide Nielson RV 14 acres of ground to provide the much-needed service to the community. “The goal is to eliminate the tight spaces and bottlenecks we currently encounter in the southern Utah areas” says Scott Nielson, owner of Nielson RV Inc. “This is a Professionally designed, state of the art facility of which the anticipated costs to the project, improvements and inventory will surpass the $20,000,000.00 mark. We’ve hired consultants from all over the United States to assist us in the building layout, design and site plan of the new dealership. “We think it will be a great addition to the Southern Utah region and were excited to work with the City of St. George in this Endeavor.”
