Nielson RV of Hurricane has broken ground on a second location in Southern Utah.
The company’s new 22,000-square-foot facility will be built in St. George at approximately 400 E. Sunland Drive, next to Furniture Row and adjacent to the Interstate 15 corridor, according to a news release from Nielson RV.
“This has been a much needed expansion,” Nielson RV General Manager Katie Leavitt said in the release. “We have loved our location in Hurricane and will continue to sell trailers there, but this new location allows us to really serve the community.”
The St. George location, which will allow Nielson RV to expand its inventory to more than 400 units, according to the release, will feature six large pull-through bays for repair services, a parts and service are and a rental department.
In Hurricane, Nielson RV offers more than 200 new and used trailers, motorhomes, fifth wheels and toy haulers, plus a large selection of retro style trailers, tear drops, wheelchair accessible, expandable and several other styles and classes of RV types.
“The goal is to eliminate the tight spaces and bottlenecks we currently encounter in the Southern Utah areas,” said Scott Nielson, owner of Nielson RV, Inc. “This is a professionally-designed, state-of-the-art facility of which the anticipated costs to the project, improvements and inventory will surpass the $20 million mark. We’ve hired consultants from all over the United States to assist us in the building layout, design and site plan of the new dealership.
“We think it will be a great addition to the Southern Utah region and we’re excited to work with the City of St. George in this endeavor.”
