Valentine’s Day is here and that means one thing, and one thing only: time to spend some quality time with your significant other. It’s time to put all of your stresses away for a day, forget about answering your phone, and focus on the person who puts up with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Spending the weekend away from all of your distractions is always a good start, but what else can you do to put a smile on your Valentine’s face? If you’re out at a campsite, that may be a challenge, since you’re away from the comforts of home and not familiar with the area. Here are a few tips to put a smile on your Valentine’s face on this special day.

Dinner for 2

Cooking in an RV is always a task. From limited space for ingredients to limited counter space it just isn’t easy. If you prepare in advance for a home cooked meal, you can cut down on the space needed for food preparation. Make salads and store them in a storage container so you don’t have to make a mess and spend time cleaning it up, which ultimately digs into your time spent eating and enjoying the company of your loved one. If you’re planning on cooking out on the grill, you can marinate and prepare your cuts of meat beforehand so you don’t have to waste valuable time cutting, tenderizing and marinading your dinner. Enjoy a Glass of Wine

Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating your partner. What better way is there to sit back and reminisce about the good times and creating new ones than with a bottle of wine? Luckily enough, wine bottles are small enough to hide anywhere in your RV. Grab a bottle of red (or white!) and crack it open, relax and enjoy your time together. With so many distractions (kids, jobs, etc..) it gets tough to find time to spend alone with your partner. Make the most of it!

Set Out On An Adventure

We all get caught up in routines. Traveling to the same sites is a common thing. We stick with what we’re familiar with. Get out of your comfort zone and explore a site that you’ve never been to, travel to a city you’ve always wanted to, but never had the chance. Better yet, surprise your Valentine and don’t let them know where you’re going until you get there. Along the way you’ll make memories with your loved one that last a lifetime.

This Valentine’s Day, make it a point to spend the day with your loved one, with as little distractions as possible. Spending time together, away from the stresses of our lives, is a great way to continue staying together. RVing is a great way to get out and explore the world with that person.
